Concept art for cancelled Aliens RPG released

We can finally get another little glimpse at what Obsidian's Aliens franchise RPG title might've looked like through concept art released by one of the firm's artists. While obviously not at all representative of what the final product would've looked like, the concept art posted by Obsidian artist Charles Lee on his blog shows off some very pretty-looking ideas and locations including sprawling futuristic cities, clean, clinical laboratories and military installations.

GTA 5 hits PS5 tomorrow... but I don't want to stop playing GTA: Chinatown Wars

Handing over a brick of heroin to a visibly paranoid dealer, I finalise the sale price using the DS stylus – and can’t help picturing a disapproving Shigeru Miyamoto. As the constantly smiling creator of Mario – the huggable godfather of gaming – Miyamoto seems endearingly innocent. Now, I’m using the device that brought us Nintendogs to push Class A drugs. Still, there are more pressing matters at hand. Finally agreeing to my price, the scruffy-looking junkie reluctantly hands over the cash.

It’s a shame you can’t battle friends in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, but the changes are worth it

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is brave. After years of relative stagnancy and careful iteration, it represents a major step forward for the Pokemon franchise. Sure, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company have made these changes in a game whose naming is clearly geared to angle it at a spin-off, but Legends Arceus is also set apart from Pokemon’s other side stories, which have generally speaking been more cheaply made and rooted in other genres.

New PS5 firmware update does the you know what

Sony rolled out a new firmware update to PS5 owners worldwide this morning. The new firmware, version 21.02-04.02.00, is the first incremental update to follow on from the console's major summer release. Released last month, 21.02-04.00.00 added a wealth of new features to Sony's new console. Some of the highlights include the ability to install off-the-shelf NVMe SSDs, 3D audio support for TV speakers, a slight update to the home screen to better indicate the different versions of games (PS4/PS5).

Elden Ring Site of Grace locations: Where are all the Sites of Grace in Elden Ring?

As you slog through the unforgiving world of Elden Ring, knowing where to find the next Site of Grace location is often the difference between a moment of sweet safety and losing all your Runes and a chunk of progress. These holy campfires are a vital place to rest and recuperate before you take on the next seemingly insurmountable challenge, but they’re not always easy to pick out in the vast landscape of The Lands Between.

Final Fantasy 14: Yorha: Dark Apocalypse crossover has the look but doesn’t quite capture the spirit of Nier Automata

During the amusement park chapter of Nier Automata, Yorha androids 2B and 9S get a taste of a whimsical world far removed from the desolate wasteland earth has become. Fireworks paint the night sky with rainbow hues as machine lifeforms, the androids' sworn enemies, don extravagant garb. "Let's dance, let's play," the machines insist, extending an invitation to all would-be foes to join in the festivities. The androids are apprehensive accepting the offer, though, because, in their world, pleasantries are often a veneer for existential dread on what it means to be human.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Episode 40 - [Extreme] Cloaked in Silence

If you thought it was tricky taking out Quiet the first time, get ready to try it on extreme difficulty. This is the extreme version of episode 11, so no chicken hat, no reflex mode, and it's hard as balls. Which are actually quite soft and squishy, but nevertheless. Eliminate Quiet Determine what to do with Quiet Neutralise Quiet without hitting her with lethal weapons Neutralise Quiet with non-firearm attacks Eliminate Quiet and decide what to do with her

MLB: The Show will be available on more than just PlayStation by 2021

MLB: The Show will no longer live on as a PlayStation exclusive. Sony and MLB have signed a contract extension that allows the former to continue having exclusive rights to the official game based on Major League Baseball. This type of extension is common, but what's interesting this time around is that MLB: The Show series will, for the first time ever, be available on more platforms than just PlayStation. This will happen as early as 2021, according to the press release.

Borderlands 2 Golden Keys explained

Used to unlock the Golden Chest in the city of Sanctuary, it will give a player access to the very rare loot contained within. Examiner reported on a post in the Gearbox forum by Chris Faylor, Gearbox Community Manager, outlining how one may obtain a golden key, but also how it works in the game. This very rare loot is scaled to a character's level. And because a player will only get one of these keys, it is crucial to consider what quality of loot they want to unlock.

Player choices in Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey impact tribe or family unit created

Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia director Patrice Désilets has revealed more on his new game Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. According to Désilets, the "third person action-adventure survival episodic game” he announced at Develop Reboot in Croatia will “relive the greatest moments of mankind with a documentary twist.” He expanded upon this description recently with GamesRadar, stating its a game about mankind's "own evolution." “Let’s tell the story of the ‘the day when’” he said.
