Square announces microtransaction-based browser game service CoreOnline

CoreOnline, a microtransaction-based browser game service, has been announced by Square Enix. The firm said the service allows players to experience "console quality games" through browsers, and the first titles released are Hitman: Blood Money and Mini Ninjas. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Tomb Raider: Underworld, and others will follow at a later date. Games will be divided into segments where players will pay incremental amounts for each.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds will come with a new skill set called Traveller which shaves some time off when looting. The new skill tree will sit alongside Brave, Forager and Prowler which are already included in-game. Not only will players be able to stay mounted when looting, they can also do so while gathering crafting materials.

Capcom has released two short videos for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, each one giving you a look at a specific weapon. The first one, which is posted below, takes a look at the Hammer. It features the attacks Impact Burst, Impact Crater, the Switch Skill Swap action which will be common to all weapons, Spinning and Charge for Silkbind Bludgeon. The Great Sword is the subject of the second trailer. The massive sword features the Silkbind Attack Strongarm Stance, and like other weapons, you can use Skill Swap to switch to Hunting Edge, Slash combos Charged and Surge, then there's Rage Slash and True Charged Slash.
