Prey reviews round-up - get all the scores right here

Prey reviews trickled in slowly over the course of release week. So, what's the consensus? If you were wondering why reviews for Prey were scant when it released, it's because Bethesda only sent review codes a day before the embargo, as per the publisher's new review code policy. Despite weird glitches that could be exploited upon release, critics seemed to think Prey was worth your time and money. Thankfully, Arkane is on the case and are keeping an eye on issues which need to be addressed.

Sekiro bosses were in a totally different order until shortly before release

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice creator Hidetaki Miyazaki has admitted that those bosses you're finding so hard were in a completely different order during the game's development. Speaking at Reboot Develop today during an opening keynote with Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda, Miyazaki said that he switches boss positions in his games a lot during game development. "When creating the story and the natural flow of the level design and the stage design, because it's all about balancing, you'll realise a boss is in a certain position that he shouldn't be in,"

Battlefield 1: here's how Bullet Drop and Critical Hits have changed sniping

Those who prefer to play a sniper in Battlefield games should know the role will change a bit when Battlefield 1 launches. Our resident Battlefield expert Westie is rather fond of playing a sniper, and in the video above he provides information on what stays the same and what is changing in Battlefield 1. The video starts off with a look at the menu, and focuses on the statistics shown for the player's rifle on the right hand side.

Minecraft's new cross-play feature needs you to "log in with Xbox Live" on all participating platforms says Mojang

Minecraft cross-platform play requires Xbox Live sign in on all participating platforms, explaining the lack of PS4 support. During their E3 presentation, Microsoft announced the unification of Minecraft players through cross-platform play. Players on all versions of the game will be able to interact with one another. All except for those on PS4. Sony refused to get on board, and now it seems a little clearer as to why they might have made that decision.

Prey VR listing pops up and quickly disappears off retailer's website

Are we getting a VR version of Prey? Earlier today, a listing for a PlayStation VR version of Prey VR popped up on UK retailer Shopto's website. It has since been removed, but not before everyone saw it. When it was available, the listing didn't have any information, or even a cover a art; just a blank page with the Prey VR name on it. Prey VR is, of course, not a game that's been officially announced, but it seems very plausible.

Microsoft is gearing up to reveal its successor to Xbox 360 on May 21, but for a while now sites have been quoting anonymous and named sources who have been saying all sorts of things about the console. So for ease of overview I've decided to compile all of 2013's juicy Xbox 720 rumours so far into one handy list.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition has been revealed as the definitive version of last year's historical RPG. Warhorse has announced the Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition, a game-of-the-year-style edition that includes the base game, as well as all previously released add-ons. Treasures of the Past, From the Ashes, The Amorous Adventures of bold Sir Hans Capon, Band of Bastards, and even the upcoming A Woman’s Lot are all part of the package.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate profile introduced Nibelsnarf

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate's Nibelsnarf is the stuff of dreams for games magazine writers. Imagine the captions. "Reminds me of my mother-in-law." Pay rises all round. According to Capcom Unity, the Nibelsnarf is a Leviathan type and is quite unique, having the most in common with Monster Hunter Tri's Gobul. The Gobul was an aquatic beast, but the Nibelsnarf "swims" through sandy deserts. It can suck sand and objects into its mouth and spit them out in a special attack, or vent sand through its gills to protect its rear.

Multiversus is surprisingly shaping up to be a proper Smash Bros. challenger

We’ve recently had some time to mess around in the Multiversus closed alpha test, the upcoming two versus two platform fighter from Player First Games and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. In it, players pick one of several iconic characters from the vast and colourful WB vault and team up for some good ol’ fashioned fisticuffs. So what do we think of this game from our time with this super early version of the title?

Sonic Lost World boss is aware of comparisons to Super Mario Galaxy

Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka has said he is aware of the comparisons being made between Sonic Lost World and Super Mario Galaxy, but said not to worry: the new Nintendo exlcusive title is still distinctively Sonic. Speaking with The Sonic Stadium, Iizuka said his team has been working on the game for two years and originally planned to release it on PC until Wii U came out. The game may mix Sonic Colors themes with anti-gravity mechanics, but it is a more traditional platforming title with greater control over speed.
