Dead Space 3: latest dev-blog discusses the game's Marker-induced insanity

Dead Space 3 will see brothers in arms Isaac Clarke and John Carver tussling with their own inner demons in two very different ways. Back in November we explained how their marker-enduced hallucinations and flashes of insanity impact on co-op play, and now developer Visceral Games has penned a new dev blog on the matter. Check it out below. The blog post comes from Viscerals' senior production designer Ben Wanat, and explains that while Isaac banished most of his demons in Dead Space 2 and is now relatively untouchable by the Marker's influence, John Carver will become deeply troubled - a by-product of losing his wife and son to the Necromorphs.

Inside Skyblivion, the Oblivion remaster developed in Skyrim

Despite its astronomical success, Bethesda Game Studios’ illustrious RPG Oblivion has never received the remaster treatment - at least not officially. Oblivion is one of several ugly ducklings the iconic studio has shunned in favour of trophy child Skyrim. Unlike Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall, and Arena before it, the Nord simulator has been remastered, reworked into VR, and re-released for almost every iteration of every console. Basically, it’s been re-everythinged. Luckily, there is an Oblivion remaster in the works - it’s just not being done in-house.

Levine: Focus on BioShock's Elizabeth "as a person" rather than her appearance

Irrational head Ken Levine has said it’s “disappointing” the online community has focused on BioShock Infinite heroine Elizabeth’s “chest” instead of her character, saying any sex symbol status was never his "intent”. Speaking in the latest issue of OXM, Levine said he wished Elizabeth’s character was the centre of attention: not her breasts. "I'd much rather talk about what she's going through as a person, but whatever. [The fans] have the right to shout out whatever they want,"
