PlanetSide Arena servers will be taken offline on January 10

Just three months after hitting Early Access on Steam, Daybreak Games has announced it's shutting the servers down on Planetside Arena. According to the official announcement, Planetside Arena's time in Early Access didn't draw enough players to "sustain the gameplay experience" the developers envisioned. Servers will be taken offline on January 10, and as of today, all currency purchases and DLC are no longer able to be obtained (thanks, Blue).

According to the narrative director, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla features a unique story structure that you likely haven’t seen before in video games. Ubisoft recently showed off Valhalla with a CGI trailer, revealing its Norse setting, longships, throwing axes, and huge battles. In a recent interview with GameSpot, writer Darby McDevitt opened up about how Ubisoft is telling a story in a way it hasn’t attempted before. “We do approach narrative in this game in a very unique way and I think it will be one of the stand-out aspects of the game - the structure of the narrative,” he said.

Techland has announced that Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in February. It will release day-and-date with The Following Expansion. This version contains the original game, the expansion pack The Following, The Bozak Horde mode, the Be the Zombie mode, the Cuisine & Cargo challenge missions, the Ultimate Survivor Bundle, and all the content updates released to date for $59,99.

BioWare teases ME2 Arrival DLC with screen

BioWare's started teasing the final DLC pack for Mass Effect 2, known as Arrival, with one single screen for the DLC. It was released on the developer's Facebook page last night. The content hasn't been formally announced yet by EA, but has been teased recently with a single leaflet in copies of Dragon Age II. It's thought the DLC will bridge the gap between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 ahead of its upcoming holiday release.

Due to a bug in the store's cloud saves management feature, many have either lost their entire game progress, or several hours worth. The issue was first reported at launch, forcing Epic Games to create an alert on its help page to indicate the problem, and how players could minimise the risk of save loss.

PUBG disables Steam player trading to prevent skin sales on third-party sites

In a surprise move, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds developer PUBG Corp. has temporarily disabled trading of all game items. PUBG Corp. announced the news in a Steam blog post, but strangely did not share it on Twitter or though other social channels. Disabling item trading means players won't be able to gift or trade weapon and character skins. The only to buy or sell items at this stage is going through Steam's Market, which nets PUBG Corp.
